[Mod] Bloodborne Plain Doll Armor for Skyrim

After about a million hours of work, I’m happy to share with you the plain doll’s outfit for Skyrim! Seriously, I had so many issues working with this mesh I’m amazed I finished it at all. A labor of love, really. More images in the slideshow above, and lots more on my tumblr. Textures are all ported from the game.

Quick info:

  • Female only, for now
  • Cloth armor rating
  • Craftable at a forge (no perk required) or can be bought from Radiant Raiment in Solitude

Big List of Skyrim Animal Companion Mods

Sometimes traveling Skyrim by yourself can be lonely, but not every character would welcome human companionship – or maybe you don’t want to deal with the other aspects of the follower system like managing inventory and equipment. Maybe your character (or you!) is an animal lover. And sometimes you just need a furry friend because not having one at your side feels wrong. In this list, I’ve compiled a collection of the best animal and creature follower mods for both special edition and legendary (classic) edition I could find, taking into account variety and functionality.

Super List of Skyrim Modder’s Resources

Working on a new mod? You’ll surely find some of these free to use Skyrim mod resources invaluable! Dozens of members from the Skyrim community generously allow their work to be used by others. These often include new meshes, textures, scripts, or just objects to make the mod creation process easier, such as static clutter items.

All of the mods in this list specify that their assets may be used by others, but be sure to read the individual descriptions/permissions in case the author has included any particular requirements.

I’ve attempted to break them down into logical categories – or in some cases, sub-categories as well – in order to be more easily browsed or searched through. For others, I’ve also included short descriptions or images to help give an idea of the content of the resource, when it’s not immediately obvious from the name. Due to the sheer number of these mods, it can still be a daunting task to explore, but hopefully this will make your modding adventure slightly more convenient!

How to Create New Body Paints and Overlays for Racemenu (Part 2)

This step-by-step guide will teach you how to create and add new Racemenu overlays (body paints, hand paints, foot paints, etc.) to Skyrim. This includes both creating the design and adding it into your game.

This is part 2 of the guide, which covers adding your design into the game via the Creation Kit. If you need guidance on creating your design, please see part 1 of the guide.

How to Create New Body Paints and Overlays for Racemenu (Part 1)

This step-by-step guide will teach you how to create and add new Racemenu overlays (body paints, hand paints, foot paints, etc.) to Skyrim. This includes both creating the design and adding it into your game.

Part 1 covers the creation of the overlay design – if you’ve already created your design, feel free to skip to Part 2 for how to add it to your game.

When I first began experimenting with this, I assumed it would be a fairly straightforward and easy thing to do – most character customization options are. I was wrong, and it was significantly more complex than I anticipated, and most already existing guides assume you already have a significant amount of things set up in your modding environment, as well as knowledge beyond what the casual modder would typically have. This guide aims to be as easy to follow and new-modder friendly as possible, though be aware that several of these steps are slightly complex so please follow directions carefully.
